Annabelle E. Stackhouse, 93, of Carbondale died Monday at home. She was the widow of Millard F. Stackhouse who died in 2009.

Born in Greenfield Township, she was the daughter of the late Cortland E. and Blanche Davis Kilmer. She was a graduate of Greenfield Township High School and had been employed by several Up-valley dress factories throughout the years.

Annabelle was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Scranton. She was known for her knitting and crocheting for family members and as an excellent cook. She enjoyed spending time in her garden and with her pets especially her cat, “BO”.

She loved her family and enjoyed being surrounded by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Joan Cerra, CRNP and Hospice of the Sacred Heart and members Dawn Ferguson ,R.N. and Ann Pepson, R.N.

Annabelle is survived by her five children, Guy M. and wife Barbara, Vandling, Robert F. and wife Nancy, Tunhannock, Gregory A. and companion Clare Scavo, Carbondale, David S. ,Carbondale,  Priscilla B. and husband Paul Bilski, Carbondale, ten grandchildren, Terri Lynn, Scott, Robert, William, Melinda, Timothy, Mickey, Brianna, Jaime and David, 17 great grandchildren, two great-great  granddaughters,  a sister, Ethel Labowsky,  Crystal Lake, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sheila Ann,a granddaughter, Jennifer, two brothers, Chester and Clarence Kilmer and three sisters, Olive Decker, Gertrude Kilmer and Lelia Barrett.

The funeral will be Friday at 11:00 AM in the Oliver Shifler & Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc., 62 N. Main St., Carbondale with services by the Rev. Thomas Cusack, pastor of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Interment will be in Willow View Cemetery, Clifford. Friends may call Thursday from 4 to 7 Pm.
