Robert G. Tocki, 73, of Mayfield died Sunday at home. His wife of 47years is the former Barbara Evanyka.

Born in Carbondale, he was the son of the late John & Anna Ostrowski Totski. He was a graduate of Lakeland School district/ Mayfield High School class of 1961 where he was class president. He attended the University of Scranton. Bob served in the Air Force Reserve.  He was employed as the director of vocational training for Allied Services for 20 years.  In 1994 he became the owner and operator of CJ Packaging.

Bob was a member of St. John’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Forest City and a member of the former Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Mayfield. He was a member of the Richmondale Hunting Club, Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus Padre Pio Assembly. He served as a Carbondale Area School Director from 1988 – 1994 and was a president of the former Simpson Lion’s Club.

Bob loved spending time with his family and enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.

He is also survived by two daughters and their husbands, Julie and Kenneth Liuzzo and Christine Tocki-Mulvey and Mark, all of Mayfield, six grandchildren, Sean Durkin, Stephen, Nicholas and Anna Liuzzo, Sam & Ben Mulvey, five siblings, Marian Cerra, Carbondale, Dolores and husband Richard Tracewski, Peckville, Jane Orlando, Mayfield, Loretta and husband Chester Anuszewski, Peckville, Francis Totsky, Simpson, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph, Larry and John and two sisters Rose Saltisiak & Florence Russell.

The funeral will be Thursday with Funeral Liturgy at 10:00 AM in St. John’s Byzantine Catholic Church, 306 Susquehanna St., Forest City with the Rev. Robert Lozinski, officiating. Entombment will be in Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township. Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 8 PM, at the Joseph W Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc. , 621 Main St. Simpson. Parastas will be at 6:30 PM.
