Zachary Christian Urda, 19, of Whites Crossing, Carbondale Township died Monday at home.

Zachary was the son of Timothy E. and Debra A Rosencrans Urda. He currently attended the NHS School for Autism and employed by Frank’s Place, Simpson.

Zachary was a kind soul who loved his family. He enjoyed to play Pokémon, Yugi-oh, Lego’s and Nintendo games and was an avid reader.  He was loved by his whole family and his infectious smile brightened everyone’s day.

Zach was an autistic child. He wore this disability as a badge of honor. Zach took great pride in helping others like him, especially his younger brother, Nico and his little sister, Shay. Zach always wanted to bring awareness to this mental disease and we all feel this to be true.

He is also survived by two brothers, Matthew and Nicolas and two sisters, Shelby and Shaylin, his maternal grandmother, Ann Marie Lewis, at home and paternal grandparents, George and Gloria Urda, Chapman Lake and Charles and Jill Puntar,Union Dale, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Jack Rosencrans.

A Service of Remembrance and Celebration of Zachary’s Life will be held on Saturday, September 16th at 10:00 AM in the Joseph W Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc. 621 Main St., Simpson. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday from 5 to 8 PM and Saturday from 9 AM until service time. Interment will be  in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Simpson.
