Puchalski, 56, of Roanoke, VA and formerly of Simpson died peacefully Tuesday morning at home. Born in Carbondale, he was the son of Dolores Kohut Puchalski and the late Peter Puchalski. He was a 1980 graduate of Carbondale Area High School, Lackawanna College, Scranton and Ultrasound Diagnostic School. Alan was currently employed as an Echo Sonographer at Lewis Gale Medical Center, Roanoke. Alan enjoyed living life to the fullest, having a good time and being surrounded by his family and friends. He was a devoted and loving son and brother. He is survived by a sister, Donna and husband Mark Rand, Hewlett Neck, NY and cousins. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:00 AM in St. Michael’s Church, 46 Midland St., Simpson. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Simpson at a later date. Arrangements are by the Joseph W Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc 621 Main St., Simpson.
