Obituaries » Anthony Francis Gardus July 31, 1948 - July 28, 2024 Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Anthony Francis Gardus, 75, of Whites Crossing, Carbondale Township died Sunday at Geisinger- Community Medical Center, Scranton. Born in Carbondale, he was the son of the late Anthony S. and Anna Kresock Gardus. He was a graduate of Lakeland High School and attended West Chester University. Anthony retired from the Optics Department of Gentex Corp, Simpson. Anthony enjoyed watching reruns of 1950’s -1970’s era television shows. He also liked trips to the casino, scratch off tickets and dining out. In his younger years Anthony and his dad enjoyed hunting together. He is survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. There will be a visitation on Monday, August 5th from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM in the Joseph W. Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc., 621 Main St., Simpson. Interment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Simpson.
