Antoinette M.  Cerra, 91, of Simpson died peacefully Thursday morning at home. She was the widow of Joseph Cerra, who died in 1981.

Born in Simpson, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Weber Golik . She was a graduate of Fell High School, Simpson. Toni had been employed for 50 years at the Gentex Corp., Simpson. She was a member of St.  Michael’s Church, St. Rose Parish and the former Confraternity of Christian Mothers. Toni was the Chaplin of the Golden Age Senior Citizens and a member of the “Simpson View”. Toni served for several years as an inspector for Fell Township elections. Toni was devoted to saying the rosary. Toni treasured being home and literally spent her entire life in that home. It was the home where she was born, lived and died.

The family would like to thank Dr. Tamarat Bekele and the staffs of Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Sinclair Nursing, Forest City Nursing Home and Carbondale Nursing Home for their compassionate care.

She is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Joanne and Paul Nepa, Simpson, Mary Ellen and Todd Roe, Endicott, NY, Teresa Cerra, Simpson, four grandchildren, Sandra, Melanie, Kyle and Kelsey Brooke, nine  great grandchildren, Keirsten, Leif  Jr,Skylar, Hanabella, Gabriella, Liam Joseph, Mackenzye, Killian John, Kenneth,  nieces and nephews and a sister- in-law, Mary Cerra.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph & Edward Golik and John Novak and three sisters, Sister Immaculata Maria, Frances Golik and Sophie Narcavage.

The funeral will be Tuesday from the Joseph W. Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc 621 Main St., Simpson with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 A.M. in St. Michael’s Church, 46 Midland St., Simpson. Interment will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Simpson. Friends may call Monday 4 to 8 Pm.
