Antoinette  M.  Mroczka, 90, of Simpson died Friday at the Carbondale Nursing Home. She was the widow of Leonard Mroczka who died in 2007.

Born in Simpson, she was the daughter of the late John & Antoinette Para Wallace. She attended Fell Township Schools and was a home maker.  She was a member of St. Rose Parish, St Michael’s Church, Simpson.  Antoinette was devoted to the rosary.    She enjoyed bingo, ceramics, crafts and sewing. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Dr. Matthew Haley, Carbondale Nursing Home and Traditional Home Health and Hospice for their excellent care of Antoinette.

Antoinette is survived by a son Richard Mroczka and wife Nancy, Carbondale, a grandson Richard, Clearmont, FL; two granddaughters, Nicole and husband Jason Rosar, Carbondale and Michelle and husband Nate Taylor, Simpson, four great grandchildren Vanessa and Noah Mroczka and Alexandria & Xavier Rosar, Nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by 9 brothers, Andrew, Joseph, George, Stanley, Frank, John, Peter, Edward and Bernard Wallace and four sisters Veronica Potkay, Ann Vilgos Zielinski and Mary & Helen Wallace.

The funeral will be  Tuesday   from the Joseph W Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc.   621 Main St., Simpson with Mass of Christian Burial at9:30 AM in St. Michael’s Church, 46 Midland St., Simpson.  Interment will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Simpson.   Friends may call Monday from 5 to 8 Pm.
