His wife, is the former Colleen Babcock. Born in Sacalon, Arizona, he was the son of the late Ambrose and Emma Enos Vavages. Austin served in the Army. He had been employed as an electrician prior to retirement. Austin was of the Catholic faith. He was proud of his Indian heritage and enjoyed the Cleveland baseball team as well as the Eagles football and New York Yankee’s. Austin also enjoyed sightseeing and playing pool. In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Rowena, Kariand many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three children, Vaughan, Joyce and Nicole. The funeral service will be Monday, December 23rd at 10:30 AM in the Joseph W. Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc. 621 Main St., Simpson. Interment will follow at Northampton Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Easton.
