It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Carol L. Dobishinsky on December 24, 2025.  She was born on July 26, 1947, in Scott Township, Lackawanna County, to the late Frank and Frances (Komantauskas) Dobishinsky.  Carol was a 1965 graduate of Scott Township High School.  Upon graduation, she earned a degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse and diligently worked as nurse for the Clarks Summit State Hospital, the Jewish Home in Scranton and the Gino Merli Veterans Center.

Carol will be greatly missed by her loving daughter, Mary Amico and husband, Philip; brother-in-law, Patrick Cassaro; sister-in-law, Donna Dobishinsky; granddaughters, Hannah and Lauren Amico; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her brother, Gerald Dobishinsky and her sister, Rose Ann Cassaro.

Carol will be lovingly remembered as a devout religious woman with a kind spirit who greatly loved her family.  She will forever be missed by all who knew her, and her memory will remain in their hearts forever.

The family will be having a private memorial service and Christian burial.  Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township.
