She was the widow of Chester Szymanosky, Sr. Born in Stroudsburg, she was the daughter of the late Claire & Edna Whitmore Metzger. Carol had most recently worked at Regal Inc., Lakewood as a machinist. She is also survived by three sons, Leroy, Timothy and John , a brother, Michael Metzger and a sister, Lynn Gower, 15 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Carol’s Life and sharing of memories will be on Saturday, January 2nd from 1 to 3 pm at the Oliver Shifler & Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc 62 N. Main St., Carbondale.
