Charlotte P. Halstead, 82, of Clifford Twp. died Wednesday evening at home. Her husband Paul F. Halstead died in 2014.

Born September 14, 1936 in Union Dale, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Marguarite Foster Price. Charlotte and her husband worked the family farm in Elkdale and raised eight children. She enjoyed crocheting and special family dinners. Charlotte spent her life taking care of her family both on and off the farm. Prior to retirement, she owned the Dundaff Country Store. She was a member of the Clifford Baptist Church. She was the matriarch of the family and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Surviving are children, Jerry and wife Dorothy; Sharon Bixby; Wayne; Steve and companion Margery; Pauline and husband Paul Fallon; Denis and wife Jane; Eileen and husband Blake Tyson; and Scott; a sister in law Marylyn Peltz; 28 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; almost 1 great great grandchild and a large extended family.

Also preceded in death by an infant son Kenneth; sisters, Frances Oscarson; Dorothy Spencer and Mildred Spencer.

The family would like to thank the Hospice of the Sacred Heart for the compassionate care given to their mother.

Funeral service will be Saturday at 2pm in the Clifford Baptist Church, 519 Church Street, Clifford. Visitation will be from 1pm to 2pm in the church. Burial to follow in Willow View Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions can be made in Charlotte’s name to the Clifford Baptist Church.
