On a dark, dreary June day, Captain Morgan and his pal the Grim Reaper stopped by Curt’s apartment to take a walk to a campsite and talk about his life.

Curtis was born, February 2, 1974 at Mercy Hospital. He and his family resided in Gouldsboro where he attended North Pocono School and St. Rita’s church where he was an altar boy and cub scout. They then moved to the small town of Newfoundland and started at Wallenpaupack School.

He started working at the GDS fair and then moved onto The Blueberry Hill Restaurant and Raintree where he got himself his dream machine called “The Fat Cat” motorcycle that he loved so much. Soon it was on to driving with a gray Toyota he called “The Gray Ghost” that he also loved and with that he did a lot of hiking and camping out with his friends. He loved his Atari and Xbox and became an avid strategic board and computer gamer. He loved the Renaissance Fair and even made a vest out of soda can tabs like the knights would.

He worked full time at McKinney Manufacturing for ten years until it closed. Soon, his friends would marry and move on with their families, but Curt stayed behind with the Captain by his side until leaving on June 30th to start a new journey. Hopefully the Captain didn’t go!

I love you Curtis and miss you always!

Curtis is survived by his mother Margie, brothers Daniel and Kenny, sister Julie, nieces Megan and Zoe, and his loving cat “Underfoot”. He is preceded in death by his father Julius in 2008.

Cremation services by Joseph Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc., Simpson.
