Daniel Demianovich, 81, of Clifford Twp., died peacefully Friday evening at Geisinger Community Medical Center. His wife of 53 years is the former Elaine Yanick.

Born July 18, 1943, in Forest City, he was the son of the late Emil and Martha Tarris Demianovich. He was a graduate of Forest City High School and earned an electrician’s certificate from West Side Area Technical School. For 36 years Daniel was employed by the D&H Railroad, finishing his career as a track supervisor. He was a member of St. Adalbert’s Polish National Catholic Church, Dickson City. He liked to fish and hunt in his younger years. He was a loving husband, wonderful father and he loved his grandchildren greatly.

Also surviving are son Daniel Demianovich and wife Melissa, Carbondale; and a daughter Melissa Arseneau and husband David, Kingston, MA; five grandchildren, Madalyn Demianovich, James, Joseph, Leanne, and Megan Arseneau; a brother John Demianovich and wife Linda, Clifford Twp.; nieces and nephews.

Also preceded in death by brothers Demer and Mickey Demianovich and a sister Luba Kilmer.

Viewing will be Friday from 4 to 7pm in the Joseph W. Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc., 621 Main Street, Simpson. A wake service will be at 5:30 PM. The funeral Mass will be Saturday at 11AM in St. Adalbert’s Polish National Catholic Church, Dickson City, by the Rev. William Chromey. Interment in St. Adalbert’s Cemetery, Dickson City.
