Geary Paul Rupp, 71, of Whites Crossing, passed at home on April 26th.  Geary, was a 1969 graduate of Fell High School. He went on to graduate California University of PA and used his degree as an Industrial Arts teacher at Dunmore and Abington Heights School Districts. He prided himself in teaching through fun and was known for his classroom music trivia. He was a charitable and patriotic man who supported church, community, veterans and his local rescues. He was endearingly referred to as “Teach” in the Woodstock community that he loved.

Throughout his life he worked at Holt Lumber Company in Simpson, and loved his Holt’s family. He helped with construction or remodeling of many homes in the area.  He loved playing and hosting Big Ball weekend and talking about his son’s business, Oprisko Kielbasa. Always equipped with a peace sign and a joke, he loved making people smile and all felt included in his presence.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Stanley “Watsie” Rupp and Anna Mae (Bedrin) Rupp, brothers David & Stanley “ Junie”, sister, Kimberly, father in law George Clear, and favorite mother in law, Helen Clear. He leaves behind his wife, Linda “Lin” Rupp and his sister, Dianne Molinaro. He lives on in his three children and grandchildren ; son, David Rupp with grandchildren, Scarlett & Everett, daughter, Adrienne Edwards and spouse Damian Edwards, with grandchildren Adalyn & Chase, and daughter, Michelle Rupp all of Whites Crossing.

Friends, relatives, students and hippies may all pay their respects at the Joseph W. Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc., 621 Main St. Simpson this Sunday, 4-7pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 11:30 AM in St. Michael’s Church, 46 Midland St. Simpson. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Simpson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Whites Crossing Volunteer Fire Co.,  16 US Route 6, Roosevelt Highway, Carbondale Twp., PA. 18407
