George Bolak, 86, formerly of Simpson died Monday at the Forest City Nursing Center.
Born in Simpson, he was the son of the late Theodore & Anna Bebla Bolak. He was a graduate of Fell High School, Simpson and served in the Navy during WW II.
George retired as a vice president with Provident National Bank, Philadelphia. He was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Greek Catholic Church, Simpson and the Paciga Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4712, Simpson. He spent most of his life in Warminster PA and recently located back to his home town. George was always on the go. He loved and enjoyed his family and had a love for horse racing, attending almost every day.
He is survived by five nieces and nephews, Joanne Morrison and husband John; Debra Evonishon; George Evonishon; Cindy Oetzel and husband Tim and Andrew Bolak and wife Maureen; a sister in law Rita Bolak and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four brothers Stephen, Frank, John and Andrew Bolak and two sisters Julia Tokarczyk and Helen Evonishon.
The funeral will be Friday from the Joseph W. Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc 621 Main St., Simpson with Divine Liturgy at 11:00 AM in SS. Peter & Paul Greek Catholic Church, Rittenhouse St., Simpson by the Rev. Myron Myronyuk. Interment with military honors at Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township. Friends may call Friday morning 9-10:30 AM.
