Obituaries » George W. Belcher July 29, 1922 - January 20, 2017 Share your Memorial with Family & Friends George Watson Belcher, 94, of Ocala, FL and formerly of RD Union Dale died Friday at home. Born in Gibson Township, he was the son of the late Horace G. and Osee Wright Belcher. He attended school in Gibson and was an Coast Guard veteran of WW II . George was a dairy farmer for many years and was also a partner in the Belcher & Mason Blacktopping Co. In later years he was a security guard for the Village of the Four Seasons and a groundskeeper for Quarry Hill Farms. George was a founding member and trustee of the Lake Idlewild Evangelical Wesleyan Church, Clifford Township. He is survived by a daughter, Ramona Mazur, Blakely, four grandchildren including George Tsianos, with whom he resided and a great grandchild, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two wives, Anabelle Davis and Dorothy Domblosky, a son, Harold Cooley, a daughter, Betty Joyce Tsianos, four brothers, Russel, Frank, Charles and Clarence, two sisters, Marian Mae Cooley and Louise Wright. A graveside service will be conducted on Monday at noon in the Manzer Cemetery, South Gibson by the Rev. Donald D. Snedeker, followed by military honors. A Memorial Service will be conducted on Saturday, February 4th, at 11:00 AM in the Lake Idlewild Evangelical Wesleyan Church.
