She was the widow of Edward Williams, who died in 1996. Born in Brooklyn, NY; she was the daughter of the late Kenneth & Eva M. Johnson Botsford. She was a graduate of Callicoon New York High School. She was a homemaker and prior to retirement was a teller at the Wayne County Bank, Waymart. Helen was a member of the Berean Baptist Church, Carbondale. The family would like to thank the staff of Caregivers of America and Carbondale Nursing Home for their care of Helen. She is survived by a son Kenneth E. Williams and wife Susan, Waymart, 2 granddaughters, Katherine and husband John Vessey, Chapel Hill, N.C., Rebecca and husband Rob Masci, Archbald, 3 great granddaughters, Magdalene, Oliva and Mavis. She was preceded in death by a brother Theodore Botsford. The funeral will be private for immediate family Wednesday at 10:00 AM in the Oliver Shifler & Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc 62 N. Main St., Carbondale. Services will be conducted by the Rev. John McCarty, Pastor of the Berean Baptist Church. Interment will be in Canaan Corners Cemetery, Waymart. Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, please say a prayer for the residents and families that are in long term facilities.
