Jean M. McIvers, 77, of RR, Jermyn died Wednesday at Commonwealth Hospice of NEPA, Scranton. She was the widow of James McIvers, who died in 2008.

Born in Carbondale, she was the daughter of the late Joseph & Mary Martha Penny Pidgeon. She was a graduate of St. Cecelia’s High School, Kearny, NJ.  She had been employed by Marian Community Hospital as the admissions supervisor for 30 years at the time of its closing.

Jean was a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Church, Jermyn. She was proud and adored her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Her family was everything to her.

Jean is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Patty and Jim Perri, Carbondale, and Debbie and Bob Rude, Jermyn, a son in law, Robert Mikulak, Mayfield, eight grandchildren, Jamie and wife Megan , R.J., and Jared Rude; Jimmy Joe and wife Dana Perri, Kylah and husband Joseph Heenan and Tara Perri; and Robert and Molly Mikulak; 7 great grandchildren, Madison, Emma, Parker, Maggie, Seamus, Teagan and Kendall  and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter Kathy Mikulak, siblings Dorothy Tolerico, Joseph Pidgeon and Ester Kennedy, Jean Dempsy, Madelyn McCarty and William Marion.

The funeral will be Saturday from the Joseph W Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc  621 Main St, Simpson with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart of Mary Church, 624 Madison Ave, Jermyn by the Rev. Shane Kirby.  Entombment in Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill.  Friends may call today(Friday) from 4 to 7 Pm.
