John “ Jack” G. Daniels, 72, of Simpson died Saturday at the Forest City Nursing Center. His wife is the former Carol Lutchko. The couple would have celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary on Friday.

Born in Simpson, he was the son of the late John & Mary Sarna Danielczyk. He was a graduate from Fell High School, Simpson. Jack served with the Air Force during the Viet Nam War. He retired from Lockheed Martin, Eynon.

Jack attended Ascension Parish, Forest City. He was a lover of animals especially his three cats, Beauty, Lucy and Sox.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by a sister -in-law, Jane Webster, Johnson City, NY, a brother-in-law Michael Lutchko and wife Carol, Hallstead; nieces and nephews, James Webster, Lisa and John Dilts and their children Stephen and Lydia, Alycia and Marc Marino and their son Grayson and Adam Conroy, an aunt, an uncle and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a sister Mary Ann Daniels.

The funeral mass will be Wednesday at 10:00 AM in Ascension Parish/ St. Joseph’s Church, 741 Delaware St., Forest City. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Forest City. Friends may visit Wednesday at the church from 9:00 Am until 10:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Dessin Animal Shelter, 138 Miller Dr., Honesdale, PA 18431.
