Joseph Paul Rulis, Jr., 74, of Whites Crossing, Carbondale Township passed away at home on Thursday. His wife is Judy A Rulis, the couple had celebrated their 54^th wedding anniversary in August.

Born in Carbondale, he was the son of the late Joseph Paul Rulis, Sr. and Lena Rezykowski Rulis. He attended Lakeland Schools and was a self-employed automobile mechanic prior to his disability. Joe enjoyed hunting and fishing and his pride and joy was his 1968 Dodge Power Wagon.

Joe is also survived by his five children, Hope Ann Drag, Victoria Rulis and companion Jeff Coons, Joseph P Rulis III and wife Christine, James Rulis and partner Frank Evans, Mickalena McDonough and husband Jonathan, eight grandchildren, Joseph P Rulis IV, Sabrina Betz, Kaitlyn Hinkle, Samantha Hansen, Joshua and Nikki Drag and  twins, Madisyn and Matthew McDonough, eight great grandchildren, Aiden, Alivia, Ty III, Alaina, Carter, William, Oliver and Violet.

The Blessing Service will be conducted on Wednesday, February 4^th at 7:00 PM in the Joseph W Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc., 621 Main St., Simpson. Family and friends may visit from 4 :00 PM until the time of service.  Interment will be Thursday in Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township.
