Louise A. Drob, 96, died Wednesday at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Youngstown, Ohio. Her husband, John Drob, died in 1988.

Born in Carbondale, she was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Dorothea Di Rosa Burgio. She was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale. Louise was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her children. She had been a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Carbondale.

Throughout the years, Louise has lived at Newton Lake, Deltona, Florida and most recently with her son, Alex in Ohio.

Louise is survived by her five children, Sandra L. Alberts (Lance), John J. Drob, Thomas J. Drob ( Donna), Alexander M. Drob and James S. Drob, 7 grandchildren, Ana, Thomas, Timothy, Tiffany, Joshua, Eric and Caroline and 9 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles, Vito, John, Angelo, James , Joseph and sisters, Caroline Miller and Mary Bucca.

The funeral will be Friday, January 24^th, from the Joseph W. Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc. 621 Main St., Simpson with Mass of Christian Burial at  10:00 A.M.  in Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook St., Carbondale, PA. Interment will be in Valley View Memorial Park, Scott Township.

Family and friends may visit on Friday from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM.
