Though I never met Mary, I feel like I have known her for 25 years through my friendship with Janet. We were two former Jersey girls who met through daughters Brooke & Kelly and realized we had more in common than ever expected. Both our moms, Mary Rames Benwell & Blanche Yakalis Daley, born within a year of one another & raised within blocks of each other in Carbondale. Small world. Though I lost my mom over 30 years ago, I've lived vicariously through Janet and her sweet relationship with her mom, listening to heartwarming stories & sharing laughter & tears.
