Mary Ann Ogozaly, 81, of Carbondale and formerly of Simpson died Thursday at Geisinger Community Medical Center. She was the widow of Walter P. Ogozaly, who died in 2010.

Born in Forest City, she was the daughter of the late Joseph & Helen Kolinsky Shino. She was a graduate of Forest City High School. Mary Ann was devoted to her faith and enjoyed watching the daily mass on television. She was a joyful woman who treasured time with her children and grandchildren. She was looking forward to the arrival of her newest great grandson.

She is survived by five children and their spouses, Walter Ogozaly, Vandling, Mark Ogozaly and Mary Ann Jackson, Moscow, Carol and Vincent Barrese, Carbondale with whom she resided, Laurie and Tom Ruddy, Carbondale, Melanie & Joseph Milewski, Endicott, NY., six grandchildren, Heather and husband Brandon Loomis, Brianna and husband Michael Hummel, Ryan Ogozaly, Joey and Matthew Milewski and Tommy Ruddy, two great grandchildren Weston & Cole Loomis and eight additional step great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her faithful companion, Lily.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph & George Shino.

The funeral will be Tuesday from the Joseph W Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc 621 Main St., Simpson with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 Am in St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 N. Church St., Carbondale. Interment will be in Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill. Friends may call Monday from 5 to 8 Pm.
