Mary L. Kresock, 93, of Simpson died on Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale. Her husband, Daniel X. Kresock died in 2014.

Born in Simpson, she was the daughter of the late Joseph P. and Stasia Cavage Kluck. Mary was a graduate of Fell High School, Simpson, class of 1948.  She was a member of St. Michael’s Church, now Our Lady of the Rosary Parish. Throughout her life she was employed in the up valley garment manufacturing industry, retiring from Waymart Knit Ware.

Mary was a president of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers of St. Michael’s.  She was an avid quilter who made over 75 quilts and enjoyed crocheting kitchen towels. Mary was a member of the Simpson Golden Age Club and was an election poll worker in Fell Township since 1972. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff at Forest City Personal Care and Nursing Center and the Hospice staff at Wayne Memorial Hospital for their wonderful care of our mom.

Mary is survived by her six children and their spouses, Daniel and Pamela Kresock, Vandling, David and Christine Kresock, Randolph Center, VT, Diane and Gary Kohut, Carbondale, Deborah and Richard Rogler, Nineveh, NY, Donna and Dr. George Tenedios, Lewisburg, Denise and Jesse Nawrocki, Annadale, NJ, a brother, Carl Kluck and wife Nancy, Haines city, FL, two sisters, Domicella Hastert, Topeka, KS and Anna Sladicka, Coral Springs, FL, 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Sean Tenedios and a brother, Joseph Kluck.

The funeral will be Saturday from the Joseph W. Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc. 621 Main St., Simpson with mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 N. Church St., Carbondale. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Simpson.  Family and friends may visit on Friday from 4 to 7 PM.

Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the donors charity of choice.
