Robert “Bob” Giannella, Sr, 87, of Waymart passed away on Sunday, October 12^th at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.  His late wife, Jacqueline DeSalvo, died in 2009.

Born in Jersey City, NJ., he was the son of the late Ralph and Marietta Giannella, Sr.  Bob was a graduate of Lincoln High School. He served in the Air Force and National Guard.  Prior to his retirement, he was a maintenance manager for Human Resources Center Inc., Honesdale PA.

Bob loved the outdoors, whether it was hunting, fishing, flying his plane or parachuting in his earlier days. He took pride in building and flying remote control aircraft.  Bob was also a member of the National Rifle Association.

Bob is survived by his son, Rob Giannella, Jr and wife Stacey, and two grandchildren, Matthew and Adriana Giannella. Dear brother of Ralph, Antoinette (deceased), Frances, Mary, and Tommy. Dear brother-in-law of Carol, Dennis, and Butch. Dear uncle to Mark, Megan, Marlene, Jamie, Andrew, Mary, and Alexander.

A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held on Tuesday, November 11^th at 12:00 PM in the Joseph W. Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc., 621 Main St. Simpson, PA.  Interment will be in Canaan Corners Cemetery, Waymart.
