Robert G. Wagner, 77, of Simpson died Monday at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore. His wife, the former Estelle Curyk died in 2001.

Born in Waymart, he was the son of the late Carol Wagner and was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School,Carbondale. Robert had served in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. He had been employed by Clark Forklift Co. and later CSI, Taylor.

He was a member of the Carbondale First United Methodist Church. Robert was a handyman at heart and was always active around his home and helping others. He also enjoyed cooking and baking.

He is survived by four children and their spouses, Sandra and John Smith, Simpson, Richard Wagner, Carbondale, Karen and Fred Carden, Montrose, Kim and Andrew Rocuba, Browndale, his significant other, Emily Merrigan, Simpson, a sister, Gertrude Reiser, Cochecton, NY, 8 grandchildren, Tyler Smith, Richard & Jacqulyn Wagner, Kathryn Granville, Lisa Catalina, Laura Riley, Kristen Rocuba, Isabelle Emily Kolebuk, 5 great grandchildren, Rylan Wagner, Gabriella, Mia and Nicolas Granville and Mackenzie Catalina, nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Wagner.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Canaan Corners Cemetery, Waymart.
