Robert “ Bobby” Gillette Jr, 57, of Greenfield Township died Thursday at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton.

Born in Scranton, he is the son of Vera E Sweder Gillette, Carbondale and the late Robert J. Gillette, Sr. He was a graduate of Carbondale Area High School and received a degree from the Cleveland institute of Electronics. Bobby was self-employed licensed electrical inspector for residential and commercial electrical construction.

He was a member of the Moxie Club, Carbondale and this was one of his favorite spots. Bobby was an avid UFO fan and was involved with the “Carbondale UFO Sighting”. He had a special talent for electric devices and electronics, he was always creating or building something. Bobby had a strong Christian faith and loved reading the Bible.

He is also survived by his companion and soul mate Sharon Wasileski, with who he resided, Maria Wasileski, who he treated like a daughter, his two sisters, Maria Gillette and husband Tom Walter, Carbondale, Sheila Seana and companion Mike Palmer, Browndale, and a brother, Dougy Gillette, Carbondale, nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be Monday from the Oliver Shifler & Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc 62 N. Main St., Carbondale with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook St., Carbondale. Interment will be in Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township. Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 5 PM
