Hite, 82 of Whites Crossing, Carbondale Township passed away peacefully at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown with her family by her side. Her husband, Larry D. Hite, died in 2023. Born in Manchester, England, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Vera Ridings Harvey. Valerie was educated in Canada, where the family had resided. She started her banking career there retiring as branch manager from Community Bank & Trust, Simpson. Valerie was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Carbondale. She loved music, especially the Rolling Stones and the Beatles, and was an accomplished accordion player. Valerie is survived by her children, Deborah Clark and husband Michael of Manalapan, NJ, and their children, Alexander and Benjamin; her son Gregory Hite, Whites Crossing; brothers Brian, Andrew, and Rexford Harvey and a sister, Brenda Lafitte. She was preceded in death by a brother, Kevin. The funeral service will be Saturday, January 17th at 12:00 PM in the Joseph W. Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc., 621 Main St., Simpson.
