Vera Ryan, 92, of Califon, NJ and formerly of Simpson passed away on Tuesday at the Colonial Manor at Panther Valley, Hackettstown, NJ.  She was the widow of Anthony P. Ryan who died in 2011.

Born in Simpson, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Anna Pelech Fedak. She was a graduate of Fell High School, Simpson and later received an associate’s degree in business.  She and her husband raised their family in New Jersey and Vera was employed by Northeastern Products of South Plainfield, N.J.

Vera was a member of St. Basil’s Russian Orthodox Church, Simpson and was proud of her Russian heritage.  She was a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Lisa and Mark Wydner, Mark Ryan and Linda, five grandchildren, Tyler, Haleigh and Hannah Ryan and Nicole and Brooke Wydner, a brother, Stephen Fedak and wife Vera, nieces and nephews.

Vera was preceded in death by six brothers, Peter, Metro, Basil, John, Michael and Joseph and four sisters, Rose Frizen, Mary Dutko, Eva Krenitsky and Olga (Peggy) Fedak.

The funeral will be Friday with a Requiem Service at 10:30 AM in St. Basil’s Russian Orthodox Church, 33 Midland St., Simpson by the Very Rev. Archpriest David J. Hritcko. Interment will be in St. Basil’s Cemetery, Simpson.  Family and friends may visit on Friday from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at the Joseph W.
