His wife, the former Lisa A Plevyak died in 2014. Born in Carbondale, he was the son of Irene (Selemba) Suchniak, Carbondale and the late Metro Suchniak. He was a graduate of Carbondale Area High School. Bill had been employed as a cook in several local restaurants. He is survived by a son, Austin W. Suchniak, Carbondale, two brothers, Joseph and wife Ann, Brielle, NJ, David and wife Patricia, York, PA., a former sister in law, Karen Korhoren and eight nieces and nephews, Kelly, Heather, Kathryn, David, Kristen, Jessica, Amanda and Brian He was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis. The funeral will be Saturday from the Joseph W. Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc., 621 Main St., Simpson with a Parastas Service at 10:30 AM by the V. Rev. Mitered Archpriest David J. Hritcko.
