Peter P. Rydzik, 90, of Simpson died Tuesday at the Carbondale Nursing Home. His wife of 58 years is the former Helen Bossick. Born in the Winton section of Archbald, he was the son of the late John & Lottie Podlewski Rydzik. He was a graduate of Archbald High School and the National Hardwood School, Tennessee. Peter served in the Army during World War II. He was the owner of Rydzik Lumber Co., Simpson where he was involved in the daily operation of lumbering and sawing wood for over 60 years. Peter was a member of St. Michael’s Church, St. Rose Parish, American Legion Post # 610, Mayfield. He also was an avid hunter. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a brother, Joseph Rydzik and wife Helen, Simpson, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, John & Paul and a sister Marcella Thomas. The funeral will be Saturday from the Joseph W Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc 621 Main St, Simpson with Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Michael’s Church, 46 Midland St., Simpson.
