James J. Wagner, 66, of Carbondale died Tuesday at home.
Born in Carbondale and raised in Simpson, he was the son of the late Gerald & Ann Burko Wagner. He was a graduate of Fell High School, Simpson and served in the Navy. Jim was currently the proprietor of Fields Used Furniture, Hamlin and had been involved with antiques and auctions over the last several years.
He enjoyed dirt series racing and was a former race car owner. He was also an avid Steelers fan. He is survived by three sons, Gerald, Andrew and Kevin Wagner, all of Forest City and a step son, Benjamin Houman, Browndale; a brother Robert Wagner and wife Patricia, Carbondale; a sister Marie and husband Gerard Rouilliard, Peckville, two grandchildren, Lilly Ann and Stephen and three nephews.
A Panahada Service will be conducted on Sunday at 4:00 Pm in the Joseph W Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc. 621 Main St., Simpson by the Rev. Myron Myronyuk, Pastor of S.S. Peter & Paul Church, Simpson. Interment at a later time, S.S. Peter & Paul Cemetery Friends may call Sunday 2 to 5 PM.
