Barbara A. Fischer, 77, of Carbondale died Sunday at home. She was the widow of Ronald E. Fischer, who died in 1997. Born in Carbondale, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Marie Palko Gallick. She was a graduate of Fell High School, Simpson. Throughout her career, she had been employed by Frank Germano Electronics and as a sales associate at Hallmark Store, Carbondale. Barbara spent many dedicated years as an office manager of Holy Trinity Church, Simpson. She was a member of St. Rose Parish/ St. Michael’s Church. She was an adoring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who delighted in the stories and accomplishments of her grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s lives. She is survived by her three sons, Ronald J. Fischer and wife Annette, Coatesville, Stephen P. Fischer and companion, Jane, Clarks Summit and Craig M. Fischer and wife Kathleen, Scott Township, six grandchildren, Valerie, Katie, Joey, Matthew, Nicholas and Candice and two great grandsons, Joshua and Jacob, and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ann Bevacqua and a niece Sandra Bevacqua Bazink. The funeral will be Saturday with Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Michael’s Church, 46 Midland St., Simpson. Masks and social distancing rules will be followed. A family gathering will be held prior to the mass. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Simpson. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions are requested to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital, 3551 North Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19140.
