Lee S. Fuhrman, 76, of Delaware passed peacefully Monday at his summer home in Uniondale, PA. His devoted wife of 37 years is the former Pamela Robinson, was by his side. Born in Scranton, PA, he was the son of the late Stewart and Elizabeth “Bette” Williamson Fuhrman, also of Newark, DE. He spent his early years in Carbondale until the age of nine then the family moved to Delaware. He was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School and received an associate’s degree from Harford College, MD. Lee faithfully served in the United States Air Force during the Viet Nam war. Lee was a bus driver for the Boulden Company in Delaware for many years. A history buff at heart he also enjoyed hunting and target shooting, gardening and crabbing. He is survived by a brother in law, Stephen Robinson ( Susan) and their two daughters, Rebecca, Bear, DE and Elena Soldo(Tyler), Newark, DE cousins, Thomas Williamson (Pat), Clifford, PA, Beth Ann Meredith (Tim), Hopatcong, NJ and children Dean and Kate, Dean Williamson (Susan) and children Melody and Gabriel, Leesburg, VA. Lee was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Deborah Susan Fuhrman Helton. A Memorial Service will be conducted at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
