Ellis Harry Martin

Ellis Harry Martin, 79, passed into eternal life on May 7^th at the Gibson Family Center, Sullivan, Indiana.

He began his life journey on May 4, 1946 in Carbondale, son of the late Ellis and Mary Elizabeth Proctor Martin. He was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale. After graduation, he began his career in computer technology with the General Electric Company.

Ellis resided in Lansdale and has lived in Indiana for the past three years.

Ellis’s generosity knew no bounds to those around him. He willingly gave in abundance without hesitation. He had a true heart to help those in need. In his spare time he enjoyed needlepoint and reading. He was an avid reader and book lover.

Survivors include his cousin, Beth Robbins and her husband Marion.

A graveside service will be on Thursday at 1 PM in the Valley View Memorial Cemetery, Scott Township. Funeral arrangements are by the Oliver Shifler & Scotchlas Funeral Home, Carbondale.
