Obituaries » Margaret A (Cook) Dorish February 4, 1931 - November 17, 2017 Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Margaret A. “Peggy” Dorish, 86, of Simpson died Friday at the Carbondale Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by two husbands, William J. Staron, 1962 and Andrew Dorish, 1981. Peggy was born in Carbondale and was a graduate of Fell High School, Simpson and had been employed in several area dress factories. She enjoyed holiday baking, collecting knick-knacks and snow globes and was an animal lover. Peggy is survived by her four children, Robert Staron and Mark Dorish, both of Simpson, Michael Dorish and wife Cheri, Vestal, NY and Cyra and husband Edward Perez, Plano, Texas, five grandchildren, Joseph and Jeremy Dorish, Andrew, Christopher and Lauren Perez, a sister in law, Sonia and husband Joseph Petak, Simpson. The funeral will be Wednesday at 9:30 AM in the Joseph W Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc , 621 Main St, Simpson with services by the Very Rev. David J. Hritcko, pastor of St. Basil’s Russian Orthodox Church. Interment will be in Canaan Corners Cemetery, Waymart. Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 7 pm.
