I am so sorry to hear about Uncle Al. I remember all the times visiting when I was you. He always had a smile on his face when I’d see him. Love to him and all the family.

To the Pevec family, I was sorry to hear of Al's passing. I have many fond memories of hanging around the service station and watching Al and Billy banter over who would pump gas for the next car that came in. Al gave me my first and only ride on a motorcycle, and I think we made it to Curtis Valley and back in about 5 minutes. We tinkered around a lot on my old '49 Chevy and he was a damn good mechanic in the day when you changed plugs, points, and set tappets. I always kidded him about being older than him, we were born a week apart. God Bless and keep him.

My condoleneces go out to the Pevec family on the loss of Albert. I have many great memories of him, growing up as a young lad next door to the gas station, and witnessing some of his pranks and fun filled times. He was fun to be around and he liked to have all the fun he could in life. A fond memory is when he told me it was good luck to put a tar ball in the pocket of my "dungarees", he was older, so of couse I beleived him when he told me that. Unfortunately, that was not as lucky as it was intended according to the ass whooping I got from my mother when she washed my jeans in hot water and the tar ball got over all the clothing in the wash. Of course, I imagine, we could all see the smirk on his face as he was watching me get my butt chewed by my mother. And him giving my younger brother, who had very light colored hair, the nickname Baldy. Rest in Peace Alber, you were and still are a Browndale legend to me.
