Schultz, 87, of Waymart died on Sunday at Regional Hospital of Scranton. Her husband is Thomas F. Schultz. Born in Carbondale and raised in Simpson, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Catherine Gorel Falong. Catherine was a graduate of Fell High School, Simpson. She had been employed by the Acker Drill Co., Clarks Summit, Ace Surgical Supply Co, Scranton and TransAmerica Insurance prior to her retirement. Catherine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She cherished time with her family. She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Shaffer, Lake Ariel, Laura Schultz, ( Paul Capell)Hartsville, SC and a son, Frederick Schultz, two grandchildren, Ashley Voglino ( Carl Boguski) and Amanda Kundla (Brandon Black)and four great grandchildren. Catherine was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Falong. There will be a Blessing Service Friday at 11:15 AM in the Joseph W Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc., 621 Main St., Simpson. Interment will be in the Jermyn Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
