Kennedy, 64, of Scranton and formerly of Carbondale died Tuesday at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore. She was the widow of James T. Kennedy, who died in 2014. Born in Patterson, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Joanna Veenboer Lynch. She was a graduate of Immaculate Conception High School, Franklin, NJ and the Sussex County Vo-Tech School. She was a homemaker and a loving mother. Coleen was also an aid and housekeeper at Wayne Woodlands Manor, Waymart. Coleen is survived by a son, Robert J Kennedy, Scranton, a sister, Catherine VanSickle, South Canaan, and a good friend, Patricia Salak. She was preceded in death by two brothers, John & Robert. The funeral will be Friday from the Joseph W Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc., 621 Main St., Simpson with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Michael’s Church, 46 Midland St., Simpson.
