Obituaries » Gail L. (Chubb) Henry April 6, 1943 - December 23, 2022 Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Gail L. Henry, 79, of Carbondale died Friday at the Carbondale Nursing Center. She was the widow of Thomas W. Henry, who died December 13, 2021. Born in Carbondale, she was the daughter of the late Ervin A. and Mildred Robinson Chubb. Gail was a 1961 graduate of the Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale. She worked with her father in the family business, Andrew’s Jewelers, Carbondale until his passing. At that time, she became owner of the business. Gail had attended the Berean Baptist Church, Carbondale. She was a member of the St. Antonio Society and the St Ubaldo Society, Jessup. Gary would like to thank the staff of the Carbondale Nursing Center for the care and compassion given to his mom. She is survived by a son, Gary Henry, Carbondale, a granddaughter, Elizabeth, an aunt and several cousins. The funeral will be Thursday with a Memorial Service at 11:00 AM in the Joseph W Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc. 621 Main St., Simpson by the Rev. Jay Best. Friends may visit the family from 10:00 AM until service time.
