Obituaries » Gayle Hart June 30, 1936 - January 2, 2024 Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Gayle Hart, ,87 of Montdale, died Tuesday at Geisinger- community Medical Center, Scranton. Born in Peckville, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy Fawcett Lewis. Gayle was a graduate of Scott High School. She retired as a secretary for Lakeland High School. Gayle was a member of the Montdale United Methodist Church and the women’s Society. She was also involved with the Area P Special Olympics and the Lakeland Booster Club. She was a former Auditor for Scott Township and the bookkeeper for Scott Valley Cemetery Association. The family would like to thank the staff at DaVita-Eynon for their care of Gayle. She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Hart-Cleary, Clifford, Lori Hart, Eynon, a sister Donna Shaw, Montdale, two grandchildren, Deidra Scanlon and husband Jake, Clarks Summit and Shelby Hart, Denver, CO. , two great grandchildren, Owen and Stella Scanlon, a nephew, Thomas Kameroski and wife Ying Ling, She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Kameroski. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 20th at 12:00 PM in the Joseph W Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc. 621 Main St., Simpson with Pastor Linda Eckersley, and Pastor Catherine Parsons, officiating. Interment at Scott Valley Cemetery will be held at a later date. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until service time.
