Dyrcon, Jr., 75, of Whites Crossing, died Saturday at Geisinger- Community Medical Center, Scranton. Born in Bristol, CT., he was the son of the late Joseph and Martha Gilland Dyrcon, Sr. He attended Lakeland High School and had been employed in construction for Addy Asphalt Co. Joe enjoyed hunting and fishing and enjoyed spending time with his friends at the Whites Crossing Sports Shop. He is survived by his four children and their spouses, Candy Snyder and Jim, Kingsley, Sharon Comstock and David, Scranton, Kasey Hoffman and Robert, Carbondale and Yolanda Geritchen, Honesdale, a brother, Michael Dyrcon, Whites Crossing, a sister, Sharon Farrell, Pfafftown, NC, twelve grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Leonard. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 9:30 AM in St. Michael’s Church, 46 Midland St., Simpson. Interment will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Simpson. Family and friends may visit on Wednesday from 5 to 8 PM at the Joseph W. Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc. 621 Main St., Simpson.
