Loretta Konzman, aged 94, of Clifford Township, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2023, embraced by the love of her children and grandchildren. Born on January 5, 1929, in Granger, Texas, she was the second of eight children to the late Edward and Marcella Kaderka Zrubek. She shared 63 years of her life with her beloved husband, Alfred L. Konzman, Jr., who passed away in December 2015.

Loretta was a proud graduate of Granger High School and achieved her nursing degree from Seton School of Nursing in Austin, Texas. She joyously assumed the central role in the lives of her husband and 11 children, leaving behind a legacy of love, tenderness, and compassion. Loretta was an active member of St. Michael’s Church in Simpson, PA, and found delight in pursuits such as gardening, sewing, quilting, reading, and preparing traditional Polish and Czech dishes.

Loretta is survived by her 10 children and their spouses: Edward Konzman of Kentucky; Elaine and Ira Bandel of Vandling; Richard and Yvonne Konzman of Florida; Michael and Vonnie Konzman of Michigan; Steven and Jeannie Konzman of North Carolina; Patrick Konzman of Clifford Township; Robert and Shelly Konzman of Michigan; Mary Ann and John Tomsky of Carbondale; Cathy and Joe Logan of Clifford Township; Sharon and John Hurst of Virginia. She is also survived by her siblings: Georgie Jarosek, Bernice Randal, Mildred Snively, and Ben Zrubek, all from Texas. Additionally, Loretta leaves behind 28 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Loretta was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen, and her siblings Edward Zrubek, Rosalie Nemec, and Alice Dakin.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Erin, Chris, Carol, and Chris G. from Compassionate Care Hospice, as well as caregivers Katrina, Bonnie, Peggy, Jenn, Darlene and Kathy.

The funeral will be Tuesday with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Michael’s Church, 46 Midland St., Simpson.  Interment will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery.Family and friends may visit on Monday from 5 to 8 PM at the Joseph W Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc., 621 Main St., Simpson.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Compassionate Care Hospice, 1444 East Lackawanna St., Olyphant, PA. 18447
