Louise M. Rocuba-Currier (Weezie), 62, of Browndale died Sunday at home.

Born on May 1, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Frederick G. and Victoria Vida Nagoda Rocuba. She attended Fell Township Schools and had been employed as a cook and waitress. Louise also had been employed at Kar-Tri Sales, Forest City.

Louise was an avid cat lover and animal advocate. She loved walking and hiking in nature’s paths, but most of all loved Panther’s Bluff and her “Big Rock.” Louise wanted to offer a special thank you to her brother, Bruno.

She is survived by a brother, Bruno, Simpson and his daughters, Sabrina and Chelsea, a brother, Andrew and wife Kim, Browndale and their daughter, Kristen, a sister, Mary Rupp, Jermyn and her children, Randy and Lisa, great nieces and nephews and cousins. A best friend Jennifer Carachilo and her cats who she loved dearly.

Louise was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Jr, a sister in law, Melissa Rocuba, a brother in law Ronald Rupp and a cousin, Kathy Rocuba Ferraro.

It was Louise’s request to be cremated. Memorial contributions may be made to The Humane Society of the U.S., 2100 L Street, NW, Washington, D.C. 20037.  The planting of a live plant or small tree would be a welcome goodbye as their roots would grow deep into the earth for strength and branches reaching for the sky.

Arrangements by the Joseph W Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc, Simpson.
