Mary Ann Congdon, 83, of Dundaff died peacefully on Tuesday surrounded by her family. She was the widow of Richard Congdon, who died in 1969.

Born in Scott Township, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Anna Petrick Chichura. Mary was a graduate of Scott High School.  Throughout her life, Mary had a home cleaning business in addition to being employed by the Gentex Corp., Simpson and a home health aid.

She was a member and treasurer of St. John the Baptist Russian Orthodox Church, Dundaff.  Mary was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother to her family and many other children.

She is survived by her three children, Patricia Zimowski, Union Dale, Eugenia Congdon and Gregory Congdon and his wife Kimberly, all of Clifford Township, three brothers, her twin, George Chichura, Mo., Nicholas Chichura, Montdale and Andrew Chichura, Kingsley, three grandchildren, John R. Bidgood, Tiffany Kilmer, Casey Congdon, nieces and nephews and a soon to be Great Grand Child Samuel Jacob Bidgood.

Also Surviving is Her Pomeranian Side Kick Sam which she adored.

She was preceded in death by Her son, Richard Jr.

The funeral will be Monday with a Requiem Service at 9:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Russian Orthodox Church, 378 Lyon St., Dundaff by the Rev. Jason Franchak. Interment will be at All Saints Orthodox Cemetery, Peckville.
