Her companion is Mark Swingle, Forest City. Born September 20, 1967 in Newton, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Louis Rockwell and Joan Anne Kays Stevens. She was a homemaker and she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Melissa is survived by five children, Jaime Nystrand and wife Rachel, Trinadad, CO; Heather Nystrand and fiancé Mike Stankiewicz, Carbondale; Ricky Fountaine, Lake Hopatcong, NJ; Raymond Fountaine and companion Kaeleigh Schwartz, Carbondale; and Christopher Fountaine, Forest City; six grandchildren, Jordan, Jayden, Payton, Noah, Lucas, and Elena; 10 siblings including a sister and caregiver Pamela Butler, Forest City; several Nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister Jill Orlee. Viewing will be Monday July 25 from 2 to 4pm at the Joseph W. Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc, 621 Main Street, Simpson. Cremation will follow.
