Richard was a graduate of St. Rose High School, Carbondale class of 1972. He was employed prior to retirement by Miller Casket Co., Jermyn. Richard is survived by his brother, Scott Schermerhorn, Waymart. Cremation services are by the Oliver Shifler & Scotchlas Funeral Home, Carbondale.
