Rita Krenitsky, 90, of Simpson died Wednesday at the Wayne Woodlands Manor, Waymart. She was the widow of Michael Krenitsky, who died in 2016.

Born in Simpson, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Anna Borosky Potson. Rita was a graduate of Fell High School, Simpson.  In addition to raising her children, she was employed by and retired from Gentex Corp., Simpson. Rita was a member of St. Michael’s Church/ St. Rose of Lima Parish.

Her life was devoted to taking care of her husband and children. She also enjoyed trips to the casino and cruises with her husband.

The family would like to thank the staff of Wayne Woodlands Manor, especially Jennica and Home Health Professionals and Hospice for the care of Rita.

Rita is survived by two daughters, Denise Krenitsky, Simpson, Michelle and husband Timothy Tyson, Browndale, a granddaughter, Tiffany and husband Cal Shea, Clarks Summit, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three sons, Joseph, Michael and Gerald Krenitsky, a grandson, Tim Tyson, two brothers, Andrew and Melvin Potson, three sisters, Estelle Lombardo, Martha Venosh and Jean Ritzenak.

The funeral will be Monday with Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 AM in St. Michael’s Church, 46 Midland St., Simpson. Interment will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Simpson.

Family and friends may visit at the church Monday from  9:00 Am until mass time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Simpson Industrial Redevelopment Co. ( Simpson Star) C/O 621 Main St., Simpson, PA 18407 or the donors favorite charity.
