Malewicz, 74, of Carbondale died Sunday at home surrounded by his family after an illness. His wife is Daria. Born in Peckville, he was the son of the late Anthony and Olga Klapatch Malewicz. Bob was a 1966 graduate of Jessup High School and received an associate degree from Penn State University. He served in the Air Force as a sergeant during the Viet Nam War. Bob then work at the Tobyhanna Army Depot where he retired as a supervisor. Bob is survived by a son, Robert Malewicz,Jr and wife Michele, Blakely and a brother, Joseph Malewicz, Massapequa, NY. Private cremation arrangements are by the Joseph W Scotchlas Funeral Home, Inc., Simpson.
