Obituaries » Ruth A (Klimek) Vargo February 26, 1928 - March 21, 2017 Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Ruth A. Vargo, 89, of Simpson died Tuesday at home. She was the widow of Edward J. Vargo, who died in 1992. Born in Simpson, she was the daughter of the late Joseph & Anna Podvika Klimek. She was a graduate of Fell High School, Simpson. Ruth had been employed in the garment industry retiring from Mussari Sportswear, Carbondale. She was a member of St. Michael’s Church/ St. Rose Parish. Ruth enjoyed traveling with her sister. Her son would like to thank the staff of VNA Hospice and Cottage Hose Ambulance for their care and service provided to his mom. She is survived by a son, Joseph E Vargo, Simpson, nieces and nephews including Brianna Gowat and Heather Smith, great nieces. She was preceded in death by a brother Joseph, six sisters, Nellie Wilk, Anna Plevyak, Kathryn Dembrosky, Mary Dombroski, Lucy Kutch and Alice Myers. The funeral will be Saturday from the Joseph W Scotchlas Funeral Home,Inc 621 Main St., Simpson with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 Am in St. Michael’s Church, 46 Midland St., Simpson. Interment will be at a later date in Holy Trinity Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 5 to 8 pm.
